When viewing The State Apartments, palace visitors can explore the Queen's rooms, including the Queen's Dining Room, Drawing Room, Staircase, Gallery, and Closet.
The King's rooms include The Presence Chamber, The Privy Chamber, The Cupola Room, The King's Drawing Room, The King's Gallery, and the King's Staircase.
On 20th June 1837, an 18-year-old Princess Victoria became Queen. After spending her childhood years in the royal residence, the newly-crowned Queen Victoria left Kensington Palace for her new home at Buckingham Palace shortly after her coronation.
