The State Apartments

Queen Victoria

On 20th June 1837, an 18-year-old Princess Victoria became Queen. After spending her childhood years in the royal residence, the newly-crowned Queen Victoria left Kensington Palace for her new home at Buckingham Palace shortly after her coronation.
